Know Your Rights

You have rights at work! Regardless of your immigration status, the MCTF can assist you if your employer violates your right to:

  • Be paid for all hours worked
  • Be paid no less than the state minimum wage: $15.50 per hour
  • Be paid overtime when you work more than 8 hours in one day and double-time
    when you work more than 12 hours in one day
  • Be paid overtime and double-time rates when you work 7 consecutive work days
  • Meal & rest breaks
  • Regularly scheduled paydays
  • Be reimbursed for work materials
  • Be paid by check with itemized deduction statement and sufficient funds
  • Immediate medical attention paid by your employer when injured on the job
  • Health and safety equipment and training
  • A workplace free of harassment, intimidation or retaliation for defending your rights
